Our Swimming Club dates back to 1929 and owes its origin to the desire of a band of local life savers trying to maintain their fitness during the Winter months. Bondi Icebergs Winter Swimming Club celebrates 90 years this year. Sunday Winter swims continue, and the Clubhouse still operates on Level 2; a place where everyone is welcome. We pay homage to our past and welcome the future as we look beyond the horizon and swim steadily towards our 100th year to be marked in 2029.

Bondi Icebergs Club Food

With its entrance at street level, our casual Icebergs Club Bistro is locate on the second level of the Icebergs building. The Clubhouse seats up to 200 people and offers indoor and outdoor seating options, all with panoramic views of Bondi Beach and our historic pool. Our menu features just the right balance of “club favourites” and seasonally inspired modern Australian dishes to tempt all appetites.

The Icebergs swim races are handicapped races to cater for all levels of swimming ability. Swim membership opens in April each year and new members are required to attend an induction day and swim a qualifying lap.
